AVC Honors its Veterinary Consultant of the Year Award Recipient

The Academy of Veterinary Consultants, Inc. (AVC) named Dr. Tye Perrett its Consultant of the Year for 2021.

Dr. Perrett is a practitioner with Feedlot Health Management Services, based in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada.

The award, which dates back to 1986, is presented annually to one veterinarian by AVC, based on the following criteria:
•    Recognition for merits within the past year.
•    Accomplishments in the practice of bovine medicine.
•    Quality and competency of veterinary service.
•    Activities in organized veterinary medicine and the beef cattle industry.
•    Relationships and contributions to the beef cattle industry.
•    Related activities and achievements that have impacted the fed cattle industry.

The award is sponsored by Zoetis and was presented to Dr. Perrett during the AVC winter conference in Kansas City, Mo., last month.
