Name that condition
For fun and education, our "Name that condition" series challenges readers to identify unusual, or perhaps not so unusual, lesions, injuries or other signs of morbidity in cattle. We plan to regularly post pictures, typically submitted by practitioners or pathologists, and ask readers to send us their diagnosis. Our first picture comes from Drovers associate editor Laura Mushrush. If you believe you have a diagnosis, please send it to me at jmaday@farmjournal.com. Next week we'll post the answer and list the readers who sent a correct diagnosis.
Also, if you have any photos we could use for this series, please send them to me. These could be shots of gross lesions on live cattle, pictures of tissue at necropsy or even histopathology images. Please send your pictures to me at jmaday@farmjournal.com. Include the diagnosis and perhaps a brief description of how the condition was diagnosed.
So, what's your diagnosis for this week's picture?
