Pulmotil AC, an aqueous formulation for controlling swine respiratory disease associated with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae in the presence of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome virus (PRRSv) in groups of swine in buildings where a respiratory disease outbreak has been diagnosed, is now approved.
The product also is approved for control of swine respiratory disease in the presence of Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus parasuis in groups of swine in buildings where a respiratory disease outbreak is diagnosed. Swine veterinarians can begin prescribing Pulmotil AC for both of these new indications immediately.
Because the product is a liquid concentrate, there's no need to formulate new rations or wait for bins to empty, nor is flushing or sequencing required.
Swine respiratory disease, often seasonal in nature, is prevalent in all swine-producing areas. It can cause mortality, uneven growth, and decreased feed efficiency.
