Road memorial for cows?

It really is sad that PETA cares more about cattle killed in a livestock truck accident than they do when humans are injured or killed on the roadways.

A PETA blog says, “We're applying to Illinois' Fatal Accident Memorial Sign Program to post two road signs as a tribute to cows who were severely injured and killed on the state's roadways.”

Because, “Certainly, humans aren't the only casualties of reckless driving, so should they be the only ones honored? PETA doesn't think so.”

An AP story out of Chicago says their request is likely to be denied, as it was in the state of Virginia when they requested a similar memorial but for hogs killed in a transportation wreck.

So what’s next, memorials for the deer that get hit on the road? For every opossum that fails to make it to the other side of the street? How about that big green bug that splats on your windshield?

This is disgusting to me. Instead of putting their efforts to helping humanity and honestly helping animals in abuse cases, they would rather be the centers of attention which has been their modus operandi for years. Anyone who gets bilked into supporting these ridiculous causes deserves to be parted with their money.

And now that the New Year is upon us – please drive safely.

Well now I guess when Ben and Jerry denied their request to have human breast milk for icecream that should have given people a clue but they continue because they have nothing to do since work to them is asking for donations and showing sad eyed dog commercials .. .
