The video recently released by Mercy for Animals on a Birnamwood, Wis., farm showing alleged abuse may have been shot by the person who should have been properly training employees.

The Shawano Leader reports that a Shawano County Sheriff’s report states that the worker, “Jason,” was hired to oversee and train employees because he was bilingual and fluent in Spanish. He also applied under the understanding he had previously worked on large farms and with Hispanic workers.

Farm owner Alan Andrus also told the detective filing the report that his workers told him that “Jason” participated in some of the same allegedly abusive acts shown in the video, said the article.

Mercy for Animals did not make “Jason” available for questioning by the detective.
