A Wisconsin veterinarian allegedly operated a sex-trafficking operation in which he lured young women from China and forced them into prostitution in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
According to KARE 11 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Dr. Brian Kersten, who owns the Baldwin Veterinary Center, in Baldwin, Wis., has been charged in Minnesota’s Washington County with engaging in the sex trafficking of an individual. Baldwin, Wis., where Kersten owns his small-animal practice, is located across the river from the Twin Cities area.
Kersten, according to news reports, apparently conspired with two other individuals to run the prostitution operation out of area hotels, and was arrested on July 30 at a hotel in the Twin Cities suburb of Woodbury.
