Our latest “Name that condition” photo turned out to be tricky, showing, again that a photo alone can be misleading in determining a diagnosis. The photo came from Dr. Dee Griffin at the University of Nebraska’s Great Plains Veterinary Education Center. He identifies the necropsy photo as showing a case of phlegmonous cellulitis at an injection site
Several readers indicted the photo showed a case of clostridial myositis, or blackleg.
