Washington State University and the University of Nebraska will continue its examination of E. coli in cattle at a free conference in Greenbelt, Md., Preharvest Control of STECs in Cattle. The conference will be held Oct. 4.
Last year's webinar showed that use of a cattle vaccine to reduce E. coli O157 can in turn help reduce the probability of contaminated hides at slaughter. Research shows significant findings that using the vaccine in commercial feedlots helped reduce the probability for E. coli O157 shedding in feces. See information from last year's webinar here.
