A webinar scheduled for July 16, focusing on the USDA’s new animal disease traceability rules (ADT), will feature Valarie Ragan, DVM, from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM). Prior to joining VMRCVM as director of the Center for Public and Corporate Veterinary Medicine, Ragan served in several roles with USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), including assistant deputy administrator of the agency’s Veterinary Services program.

The webinar intends to educate animal-health stakeholders about the ADT Rule in regards to the new Interstate Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (ICVI) requirements from a veterinarian’s perspective.

Ragan will discuss what’s new in the ruling and what will have the greatest impact to veterinarians and producers, and the webinar also will cover how using electronic document management can minimize the burden of this ruling.

The program qualifies for Continuing Education (CE) credit for all registered attendees.

More information and a link to the program registration are available from GlobalVetLINK.
