Feedyard inventories top those of a year ago

As of November 1, the number of cattle in U.S. feedyards with capacity of 1,000 head or more stood at 10.6 million head, which was slightly more than the total one year earlier, according to the USDA’s November Cattle on Feed report. That slight increase represents the first year-over-year increase in any month since August 2012.

A new option for control of BRD in beef cattle

Zoetis announced a new label claim for ADVOCIN (danofloxacin mesylate) Sterile Injectable Solution for control of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in high-risk cattle. Previously approved for treatment of BRD, a large multi-site study demonstrated that ADVOCIN was safe and effective for the control of BRD in beef cattle at high risk of developing BRD.
