Two Colorado State University professors have been listed among the top 20 best animal sciences instructors in the United States.
Tatum is described in the ranking as “very active in educating both his students and colleagues,” and some of his many awards include his Young Scientist Award from the American Society of Animal Science and his Educator’s Award from the National Association of Meat Purveyors.
Archibeque is cited for his work in “educational and professional organizations” where he has served as director-at-large and a member of Board of Directors of the American Society of Animal Science.
“This recognition testifies to the high-caliber of faculty members in our department,” Kevin Pond, head of the CSU Department of Animal Sciences, said. “Both Professor Archibeque and Professor Tatum not only conduct cutting-edge research, but they translate that research for students who will take what they have learned and apply their knowledge in the field.”
