The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) has announced its lineup of educational sessions during its 2014 symposium. The event is scheduled for Oct. 30-Nov. 2, in Nashville, Tenn.

The food-animal track will feature parasitologist Donald Bliss, PhD, discussing the economics of internal parasitism of beef and dairy cattle and deworming strategies for cow-calf and stocker operations.  Also, Michaela Kristula, DVM, MS and Billy Smith, DVM, MS, DABVP, covering milk testing and quality Issues and dairy quality assurance. 

In addition to the food-animal track, the symposium features educational tracks in avian, canine, equine, exotic companion animal, feline, reptile/amphibian and shelter medicine, and an AVTCP technical track.
