The Minnesota Nutrition Conference (MNC) will hold its 76th annual conference on September 16-17, 2015 at Mystic Lake Casino & Hotel in Prior Lake, MN, with the general session focusing on “Societal Concerns in Animal Nutrition”. The pre-conference symposium, sponsored by Milk Specialties Global on September 16 is entitled “The Role of Fatty Acids in Animal Nutrition.”

“The conference will feature academics and practitioners who are leading experts in their fields to share the latest research, information and best practices,” said Alfredo DiCostanzo, PhD, conference co-chair and professor of beef cattle nutrition and management at the University of Minnesota. “We are pleased to present experts and practitioners in our General Session that will discuss emerging societal concerns in animal nutrition – from genetically engineered feed to antibiotics to housing for laying hens,” added DiCostanzo.

The conference will feature sessions that are divided into three substantive categories: Ruminant, Non-Ruminant and Equine. It will include 21 featured presentations by speakers representing industry, government and academia from across the country, 8 University of Minnesota research updates, and 1 roundtable with 5 equine industry experts.

As in years past, a compilation of all speaker manuscripts and recognition of sponsors will be included in the official conference Proceedings. The conference has been approved by ARPAS for 8 continuing education credits.

The conference is grateful for the support from industry sponsors. “We are able to host an event of this quality featuring the top experts in our field because of the support we receive from our industry.
