Ranchers, veterinarians, veterinary students, animal science students and other interested individuals are invited to the Beef Improvement and Low-stress Cattle Handling Seminar on Saturday, April 28, 2012.
The event takes place in Room 1020 of Gladys Valley Hall at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in Davis, California.
Food animal veterinarian Anita Varga presents special guests John Maas, Lynn Locatelli, Cassandra Tucker and Jim Oltjen for discussions on the science and principles of animal behavior and low-stress cattle handling; use of antibiotics in cattle; facilities design and other topics.
Attendees can receive Beef Quality Assurance certification or recertification from the California Cattlemen's Association at this seminar.
